Why are we here?

Welcome to my Blog. I am Head of Science at a School in Croydon. I have started this blog as I think there is a need to for some clarity of the teaching research. It appears to me that during lockdown a number of individuals are publishing material that is not subject to peer review and is completely subjective. Additionally, I have seen a number of individuals using Rosenshine’s Principles as the basis of their ideas.

This will be a space for my thoughts and place for sharing of materials that may help you as a science teacher or a beginning teacher as you embark on those first few years of practice.

Remember the research has to inform your practice.
